Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Isa 26:4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
I have been away from my family in the Philippines for way too long. I miss my family and the best place on earth is with them.
Looking at this photo makes me smile. My beautiful wife and our son being silly.
Last week I was heading home. I had airline tickets purchased and made arrangements to garage our car and I was so happy to be headed home. Our original plan was for my wife and I to meet in Manila and spend 3 days in Malaysia to have time alone and to renew our visas. Our visa requires we both leave the country once a year and then enter back together.
BECAUSE OF THE CORONA VIRUS WE ALL DOMESTIC FLIGHTS WERE CANCELLED STARTING MARCH 15 AT MIDNIGHT.
We scrambled our efforts and we were determined to be together. My wife went to the airline office and booked the very last flight to our town in the Philippines. It was before the lockdown and I would be able to fly all of the way to my family before travel was stopped. Air travel and travel by sea was to all be halted. But we were home free! It seemed we had won the fight and we would soon, within 2 days be together as a family again.
I went to sleep feeling accomplished and so happy! But at 1:30 AM I got a message from my wife. The airlines called her and informed her about our situation. It seems that upon my arrival into Manila, I would be forced into quarantine for 14 days. I am not even sure what that would entail! But this would put me out to the 29th of March and there would be no domestic travel expected until the 15th of April.
TO TELL YOU MY REACTION TO THIS WAS MANY TEARS
I was so disappointed the only thing I could do is weep! But then I remembered the verse I used for my text. “God would keep in Perfect Peace, whose mind is stayed upon Him”. This is how I am handling this, not optimal situation. I will stay my mind upon Him until the time comes when I will be back with my family.
Whatever you are facing, this truth can be applied to your situation.
Blessings!
