The Garden of Eden remained on earth for a long time after a person was forbidden to walk in its wonderful places. For a long time, the fallen human race was allowed to look at an innocent house, whose access was blocked by the angels guarding it.
At the gates of paradise, guarded by a cherub, the glory of God was revealed. Adam and his children came here to worship God. Here they renewed their covenants of obedience to the law, for the violation of which Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden.
When waves of iniquity swept the world and the wickedness of the people determined their death in the waters of the flood, the hand that planted Eden took it from the earth. But in the final restoration, when "a new heaven and a new earth" are formed (Rev. 21: 1), the Garden of Eden will be decorated even more delightfully than at the beginning.
Based on these words we must know that those who keep the commandments of God will be inspired by the power of immortality under the tree of life; and for endless centuries, the inhabitants of the sinless worlds will see in this enchanting garden an example of the perfect work of God's creation, untouched by the curse of sin, an example of what the whole earth could become if one person fulfill the glorious plan of the Creator.
The great plan of redemption fully returns God's favor to the world. All that was lost due to sin will be restored. Not only man is redeemed, but also the earth, to be the eternal abode of those obedient to God. For six thousand years, Satan fought for possession of the land. Now, God's original plan for his creation will be realized.
The fear of presenting the future inheritance as too material has led many to interpret exclusively on the spiritual plane the truths that help us see our inheritance as a true home.
Christ assured his disciples that he would prepare cloisters for them in the Father's house. Human language cannot describe the reward of the righteous. Only those who see it will understand this. A limited mind cannot understand the glory of God's paradise.
In the Bible, the inheritance of the saved is called a country, there the heavenly Shepherd leads his flock to the fountains of water that give life.
The tree of life brings its fruit every month, and the leaves of the tree serve to heal the nations.
Everything that is incomprehensible to us in God's providence will become clear in the world to come. An explanation difficult to understand. The secrets of grace will be revealed to us.
Where our limited minds are confused and only see unfulfilled hopes, we will see a perfect and wonderful harmony. We will realize that boundless love controlled the circumstances of life that seemed so difficult. Then we will feel the tender care of Him who does everything for our good.
We have a heavenly house. Christ, who loved us so much that he gave his life for us, built a city for us. There will be no pain in the city of God. There will never be sad cries and mourning for unfulfilled hopes. Soon the garments of pain and grief will be replaced by wedding garments.
May all the beauty of our earthly home remind us of the crystal clear river and the green fields, the expanding trees and the living fountains, a brilliant city: this world of beauty that the artist cannot portray and that no person can describe.
