Welcome everyone to the first week of Steemit Learning Challenge season 21 week1 and the challenge that has given us from the learning teaching team this week is the introduction of herbal medicines and the benefits, harms, how much we are using in daily life.


We usually use these Herbal supplement with low side effects and medicinal properties. So today's first week I'm expressing my views as a participant and trying to write the tasks correctly.


But in this case there are many things that I don't know, in that case I did my work with help from Google.

Research Assignment: Research and write a history of herbal medicine in your culture or region.

Herbs-being a tree whose stem will never be woody and flower fruit, that plant will die after seeds are produced.

Herbal-Herberius is derived from the Latin word herberius meaning herb or grassy.

In a word, a plant that is part of its plant, root stem leaves, fruit seeds, flower roots, mixed juice is all medicinal, and valuable for aromatic qualities.

Bangladesh is also studying various aspects of user availability of herbal medicines, benefiting both popular manufacturers.


Using herbal medicine more than other drugs and will increase its use in the future. .So it's quite effective for disease.Made naturally made relatively less side effects and cheaper readily available.The practice of herbal medicine in Bangladesh is also developing day by day in harmony with our culture.Besides, tea, medicine, cosmetics and other works are also being used.

Many types or many species of herbs are found in our country including basil neem, aloe vera, basak, thankuni, levender trees and various types of grass trees.They are also many spicy plants, which are used as herbal, including ginger, garlic, onion, turmeric, etc.When we have a fever or cold, we use ginger tea, garlic in pain, and Tulsi ,Drumstick and black cumin are a miracle medicine.

A brief history of herbal medicine is presented-


Plant farming generally started from when civilization started.Since then Greek merchants began using medicine.

The history of herbalism since prehistoric times has been correlated with the study of herbal medicine. The first authorial description of herbal medicine came from China in 2800 BC which is the first written record of herbal medicine by Shen Nung – ‘pen Ts'ao’.

300 years later, the Greek physician diagnosed the use of many plants to treat various medical diseases in the treatment of Hepacritis, the father of medicine, and identified the number of 300 to 400 species of plants as effective medicinal plants. Greeks and others continued to study medicinal plants in medical care.

For common ailments like cold,Fever, headache, vomiting and cough, we mostly use ginger so today we made a table comparing the benefits and side effects of this ginger herbal medicine.

Availabilityis readily available, which can be easy cultured, leaves on gender raw material.is available in Prescription for Medicine and any pharmacy.
Costis fairly cheap and can be farmed around the house, species Rise Occasionally depending on the situation.and affordable.
Dependencyhas dependency sometimes overuse special meat curry .in cases depends on it's availability in the market and in many cases have to buy at extract species.it's a pain medication so can have an effect on dementia disease.
Focusgates a lot of redief from using it.Especially memory helps to increase attachment and focus, antioxidant content, so can be found in other products.is a painkiller and fever medicine, so more focus is given on pain and fever.

Herb Identification: Choose 3 herbs from your kitchen like mint, ginger, or turmeric and list their health benefits. Mention the recipes where you have used these herbs.

Cook every day and every day in different types of cooking like my herbal and medicine that spice plants don't choose.Among them are turmeric, pepper onion, garlic, ginger. Spices I make with a combination of different vegetables.



Moreover, there are many other herbs that are used for many purposes in our daily life, among which I am choosing three herbs and listing their health benefits. Besides, I am mentioning a recipe where I have used these herbs.

termeric-we use turmeric to make every vegetable colorful when we cook. There are many vegetables that can be cooked with just salt and turmeric and oil, which is just vegetable extras and no spices needed.

Health benefits of turmeric

  • Yellow antioxidants and anti-inflammatory and immune system boosters, help boost immunity.
  • Yellow helps reduce any kind of inflammation in the body.
  • Turmeric is anti-cancer and Turmeric increases digestion.
  • Turmeric increases brain function and helps reduce the risk of heart disease.
  • It is very beneficial for diabetics especially helping to reduce blood sugar levels
  • Turmeric enhances the beauty of raw turmeric skin by consuming raw turmeric juice on an empty stomach cleanses the blood of the body.
  • Turmeric contains vitamin B6 which eliminates nutrient deficiencies.

So turmeric is a very popular spice and which is effective in enhancing the beauty of the body and relieving various diseases.


Aloe vera

Aloe vera is an extract made from herbs and its leaves
In addition to the makeup we mostly use in makeup, this magical herb has many contributions. Rich in antioxidants and vitamin A,C,E,B12 has many nutrients, including folic acid.Aloe vera extract contains Lactative ingredients that help cleanse the stomach.

Many people drink aloe vera juice.Aloe vera helps cure various skin diseases and skin damage. It is a medicinal herb that lowers blood pressure and helps keep blood cholesterol and sugar levels normal.

Tulsi plant has many properties of herbal and medicinal plant.

  • Tulsi leaves have antioxidants and anti-inflammatory which are very beneficial for various diseases especially cold sore throat cold cough, cancer diabetes and heart disease.

  • Tulsi leaf tea has many benefits for sore throat, sore throat, cough and shortness of breath. Tulsi leaves boost immunity, prevent blood sugar levels and blood pressure, cholesterol. Helps control weight.

I sometimes make a tulsi leaf tea with ginger and tea leaves for headaches and colds. Sometimes I drink black tea with this combination of ginger and basil.
I am showing the recipe-


I need ginger, basil leaves and tea leaves to make black tea.


First boil it in a pan with hot water and then add some ginger to the field in boiling water. A little salt, a little salt and a spoonful of tea leaves will be powdered. When it boils well, I will add basil leaves to it, then after boiling it for one to two minutes, it is ready to drink.

Then I'll pour into a cup and drink hot. I made sugar free in this lick so I added a little salt to it for the taste.

Forms of Herbs: Write about the different forms of the herbs.

Tea is a soft drink grown from natural plants.An aromatic favorite and its scientific name is Camellia sineensis.It's usually used in powder condition.We're usually used to part of the leaves of this tree.Processed through different temperatures and dried and powdered. And tea is produced by mixing it with hot water.Tiredness and lethargy away, we drink this tea to keep the mind fresh. Sometimes black tea sometimes mixed with milk we make milk tea. This tea is very useful to keep the body fresh and strong.

The whole part of the naturally dried plant is made of leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds, trunks, leaves, roots, and herbs.
In addition, we can use different parts of a different type of herbal tree as one, and the parts we use are:

The ginger, Zingiber officianlpart is roots, stems or rizonspices in the form of molasses or paste and uses its extract.
Turmeric, Curcuma longaroots,rizomesspice in molasses or paste form and raw turmeric can be consumed in its extract and used on the skin.
Basil, Ocimum tenuiflorumlieafy partraw leaves Mirza or eat mixed with extract or tea.

Cardamom, Elletaria cardomomumused seedsElach spices and various meat-like cuisines and confectionery are used for food preparation

Today I selected a herb that is making a chop about the side effects of the tulsi plant and how to avoid them
Tulsi leaves have many healthy benefits, yet this basil plant has many side effects or side effects.

  • I know it is good for diabetics, but if a diabetic or hyproglacemia specialist who is taking sugar medicine as well as tulsi leaves, blood sugar is low..
  • Pregnant women should not eat tulsi leaves, it contains an ingredient called eugenol no. Eating it can cause more diarrhea problems during pregnancy.
  • Tulsi leaves should not be consumed in large quantities to clean or dilute the leaf blood.
  • Anything shouldn't be overeating it has side effects so tulsi leaves shouldn't be overeating.Tulsi leaves have a hot effect on burning the stomach.
  • Chewing basil leaves raw can stain teeth because Basil leaves contain a type of mercury that can change the color of the teeth
