🍁 Jute 🍁
Hi friends! Assalamu Alaikum. how are you all I hope you are well. I am good by the infinite mercy of Allah. As usual, today I will discuss before you about the agricultural jute of Bangladesh. Which is a meaningful crop of Bangladesh. This crop is leading Bangladesh to progress step by step.
Jute is a monsoon crop. Its life span is 100 to 130 days. Bangladesh earns foreign currency by selling this crop. So Jute is known as Sonali Ash in Bangladesh. There are two types of jute in Bangladesh 1) Toshapat 2) White jute. Even though it is taught everywhere in Bangladesh, our district occupies the fourth place. Moreover, the government of Bangladesh has given a jute day on March 6. And on this 6th March we celebrate Jute Day.
Let's know about the introduction of jute:-
Jute is a perennial crop, its life span is around 100 to 130 days. Moreover, in Bangladesh, this period from Chaitra to Shravan month is the best time for jute. Jute is preferred at 60% to 80% air humidity. The higher the temperature, the higher the jute rises. It gives an average yield of 2 tons per hectare. Which is most needed for the farmers of Bangladesh.
Jute cultivation
Jute is sown in Bangladesh. Irrigation should be applied to the land after few days after sowing. So that jute seeds come out very quickly. Then pesticides have to be used and fertilizers have to be used. Weeds need to be controlled. In this way jute grows very fast. Jute does not require much drainage. This brings a lot of benefits to the farmer. When the jute is from 12 to 14 cubits. Then they have to be cut and left on the ground for three to seven days. Then they have to be immersed in water for decomposition.
Jute takes 12 to 15 days to rot. Then the jute fibers are taken out and dried in the sun to be sold in the market.
The use of jute
The most common use of jute is in sack making. Jute still plays an important role. Moreover, jute is required more for covers, carpets, weaving industries. It is mixed with wool to make warm clothes. Moreover, jute chalk is the most important attraction. They are most common in the homes of people in Bangladesh. Moreover, young jute leaves are cooked as vegetables in many areas of Bangladesh.
I have shared some important information about jute before you. If you do something wrong, you will be forgiven.
