Under ground water refer to the part of rain that simini to the ground.

Water can sink in to ground touse the specs man as porces.
Rock which allow water to pass trust them are called prermable rock.
Why in permable are rock which not allow water to pass turn them are called impermeable.

The water Tables...

The water which seaps turn the ground and more down trun the force of gravity.

On the he riches and impermable layer of rock turn which it's can not pass.

Three major zones be need this earth ...

  1. They zone of permable action in this Zone the pore space are allow since water, the up surface in non as the water table.

  2. The zone of intermittent sircolte in this zone the poor specs in the rock center after a havily rainfall.

  3. The zone of non saturation,in these zone the poor specs in the rock allow water to pass turn them and nar centin water.

Characteristics of under ground water.

  1. Spring: a ground water stop in rock is rise on the point ware the water table rich surface.
Spring sply main water that told of the ground while the nature rock position of water table...

  2. The linestone or ehook escanpment where the permable rock like in between impermable shractor.

  3. In Karst region where linestone over lie impermable rock springs of thing along junction cracks spring often develop cracks in situation where the gentle sloping Impermable waternate was layer of impermable.

Wells.
These simply refer to hole swim in ground below turn which sink water seeps out of rock in to the hole a well must be sill the depth to impermable water.

ACTION OF UNDER WATER IN LIMESTONE AND CHALK REGIONS.

Chalk and Limestone are seclllimentry rock of organic origin gotten from the accurnalation of coals and sheck in the sea.

Limestone is composed of calaicum carborth (caco2) which is in soluable in rain water which with carbon dioxide from the air.

Forms a walk acid which helps to wash away the calcium carbonate Limestone region is also called KAVST REGIONS.

A large stretch of laid occupied by Limestone which possese a very distinet type of Geography fermed KORST TOPOGRAPHY.

Characteristics of limestone or Karst region.

  1. Lack of vegetation covers :
There is no vegetation covers in the Karst region.

  2. Solubility :
Limestone naturally is in soluable but the action of rain water which contains carbon dioxide from of wealk acid and wash away the ealcium carbondnate in Limestone there by making of the be socuble.

Absence of surface flow..
Streams that rise an other rocks flow-over limestone for a short distance and disappear underground dust to the permeability of the region.

Features of surface Karst or limestone region.

  1. Climts...These are the isolated rectangular found between the joint or Grikes.

  2. Dolinar.. these are formed where a number of swallow Holes coalesic or joined together to large hallow or depression.

  3. Uvala.. these are formed when several dolinamerged as a result of subsidence to form a larger depressing simply, put, they are larger hollows that are created when limestone crembles.

  4. Poltes..These are larger depression from falling in Limestone region formed in some places of the world..

Features of under ground karist or limestone region...

  1. Stalactites..
These are the sharp, slender , downward growing pinnacles that hang from the cave roof's.

  2. Stalagmites..
These are shorter, fatter and more rounded fromed when water drips down stalactites to the floor.

  3. Pillans..These are found when over a long period ,the statectities hanging from the roof eventuay join to the stalagmites growing from the floor.
