People are talking about this being just random acts of crime but I definitely feel like there would be a reason for it. Remember every time these get cut it costs a lot of money to repair/replace which means the owner loses money. They can lose so much money that's it's not worth it anymore and sells the whole resort or what ever it is very cheaply. Maybe it's people who want the mountain pristine and want people to stop using it like this so they want people to think it's unsafe or unfeasible so the mountain will be left alone. Could be people trying to make money; again repairs are now needed which means all the companies that construct/repair these will now have massive business. Maybe some contractor comes destroys everything, then comes the next day to start repairing his mess. Just keep repeating the process for untold money
