Today is the anniversary of the death of Tony Gwynn.

 

Tony Gwynn was a beloved San Diego Baseball player who built his career in San DIego.

 

He was much beloved by the people of San Diego County and upon his retirement gave his time to San Diego State where they named a baseball field after him.
