JENNIFER ANISTON has urged fans to wear face masks to halt the spread of Covid-19, saying the issue had been 'politicised at the expense of peoples' lives'.
Coronavirus is surging in the US and the 51-year-old's home state California has closed bars and beaches ahead of Saturday's Independence Day celebrations.
Sharing a masked selfie, the actress — aka Rachel Green in Friends — wrote: 'I understand masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable but don't you feel it's worse businesses are shutting down, jobs are being lost, health-care workers are hitting absolute exhaustion and so many lives have been taken by this virus.'
After state governor Gavin Newsom made wearing a mask mandatory in public places, she added: 'People seem worried their "rights are being taken away". If you care about human life, please #wearadamnmask.'
