The S&P 500 is controlled mostly by large cap stocks such as AAPL and AMZN (basically the major ones that have rallied in the past couple for months) and since they have skyrocketed, the overall market appears to be higher priced than it actually is. If AAPL and other large cap stocks like that hold up, we won't be seeing much of a change in the movement of the major indexes.
