In another excellent article from the BBC Worklife series, David Robson examines whether the usual mantra about being 'passionate in what you do for work', which is usually spouted by already successful business leaders, is the correct philosophy or whether we should be approaching our path to success with a more 'growth focused' mindset.
David has extensively examined the latest research and findings by researchers, psychologists and academia to attempt to make 'passion' a tangible and measurable commodity and in doing so has unearthed some very interesting findings.
I found this particularly interesting...
People with the ‘growth mindset’ maintain their interest in difficult topics, wanting to know more despite the difficulties of grasping the technical material
and could see its application in the Steem environment but the most important conclusion was that even with the tiniest seed of interest, with the right growth mindset, this could one day build into the great passion that leads on to success!!
Great article. Very interesting and I'd recommend it as a great 10 minute read.
