With the increasing need for video communication during the pandemic of #covid19, Facebook has developed a suite of solutions for this purpose. Among them is Messenger Rooms, a handy video conferencing application much like the now notorious Zoom.
With the (self) isolation of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, the desire to contact or resume work has driven many people to digital platforms, such as the Zoom video conferencing tool, which has seen 30% increase in users in the span of a few months.
Facebook responded with some new solutions too. First comes Messenger Rooms, which directly competes with Zoom, Houseparty, and other simpler group video communication tools. It will allow us to create group video conversations for up to fifty people, without any time limit, and will also be able to invite people without a Facebook account.
