In July, LG announced that is Velvet was coming to the United States on all major carriers, except it promised the T-Mobile model for later in the summer. It's here now, and what's interesting is that this is actually a different phone than what everyone else is offering.
Rather than using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G like we're seeing in the unlocked, Verizon, and AT&T models, the T-Mobile SKU actually has a MediaTek processor, the Dimensity 800. It's the first Media-Tek-powered 5G phone to be launched in the United States, supporting T-Mobile's 600MHz low-band frequency and the 2.5GHz mid-band frequency that it got from Sprint.
