Hello, hope you all are doing well. I am glad to participate in this competition titled Technical or Non-technical Professions (Name of your preferred profession). Hope you will find my article interesting.
In your opinion, what do technical professions and non-technical professions mean
In my opinion, technical profession is a profession that requires special skills or practical knowledge which mostly has to do with mechanical or scientific subjects. Examples of technical professions are: Engineering, carpentry, etc
Non-technical profession on the other hand means a profession that does not require special skill or practical knowledge. Examples of non-technical professions are customer service, sales representative, attendant, Marketing Manager, and Product Manager. etc
You think you are ten years old now. Which of the above two professions would you dream of becoming a professional in? Explain with reasons.
If I were to be 10 years old, I would dream of becoming a technical professional. To be precise, I would dream of becoming a computer software programmer. My reason for this choice is the fact that the world is becoming a computer village. Everything in the world today is becoming digital or computer-inclined. And all this is happening as a result of developing software and giving it instructions to perform certain tasks. Today we make registrations online, write exams online, buy and sell online, attend meetings online, etc. Therefore, becoming a computer software programmer will make me relevant and allow me to contribute my quoter in the global world.
Explain the advantages and disadvantages of your preferred profession in your way.
For everything that has advantages, there is a disadvantage. Some of the advantages of becoming a computer software programmer or technical professional are:
- Impact life: I will impact the lives of many through software programming.
- Money: I will be rich because software programming is very expensive
- Relevant/problem solver: I will be relevant in this society as many will look for me to develop software or manage it for them.
The disadvantage is that some people may use me to develop applications or software that may have negative impact on the world at large.
According to you, between technical and non-technical professions, which one can earn the most money and which one is in the highest demand?
For me, the technical profession can earn the most money. This is as a result of the high demand in technology and how fast the world is developing. It may interest you to know that robots are now replacing humans in carrying out certain tasks. Shortly, certain non-technical jobs will be missing because computers or robots will replace them.
