My experience with Quacks.

QUACK has two meaning.
1.Quack is the sound made by a duck.
2.Quack is someone pretending/ claiming to be what he/ she is not.And untrained person who dishonestly claims medical knowledge, educated or other skills .
I called them Fraud, fake,pretender, charlatan, imposter, and so on.

The painful death of my uncle😭😭
On Monday 2023,the Lagos State Council of National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) issued a statement confirming that a suspect arrested for injecting my uncle.A minister of the gospel whose death had provoked nationwide outrage and processions was not a registered nurse. It was confirmed that the suspect was not licensed to practice nursing in Nigeria nor was she a member of the association.
Sadly, the consequences of this problem came into pure focus with the untimely death of a young man named Felix Akpan.His story serves as a touching reminder of the deadly effects of quackery in Nigeria’s healthcare system.

A quack tailor that I will never forget in my life.There was a tailor in the former place I leave that someone directed me to.In getting there I asked the man if he'll be able to sew my clothes,he said yes that he is a professional tailor and I took him by his word.
I needed to wear that clothes to a big function the following week.
My dear brothers and sisters when I went there to get the clothes,I asked him for my clothes,when he brought it ,the clothes didn't even passed my shoulder,and there was no allowance to adjust the clothes and most annoying part was that the man said I should buy another material for amendment .I almost collapsed because I didn't have money and the function was the next day.I was disappointed.

I lost a pregnant relative just last week because the doctor concealed and administered wrong treatment to her.

Last Wednesday my son started showing symptoms of thyroid and we decided to take her to a popular specialist hospital located in Port Harcourt.The doctor on duty without thinking twice heard my husband's complain and gave my son typhoid treatment. On Friday,we noticed tiredness, lost of appetite, extremely high temperature, couldn't breathe and running nose. She was restless and couldn't sleep.

We took her to the same hospital and was attended to by the same doctor who endorsed a dosage of quinine and paracetamol but as my husband was leaving the hospital, he felt led to speak with the pediatrist who was just strolling into the hospital to resume duties.He re examined our 11month kid and said she is with pneumonia and the thing was in advance stage. The girl was immediately placed under admission for critical treatment. If not for God, that quack doctor would have given my family another story to tell.
We wanted arresting him but luckily for him someone rescued him.
It was a terrible experience.

Patronizing quacks can be dangerous.they demands your money and life,for the society to do away with them is to improve awareness of the society in terms of disasters that can happen when getting treated by unqualified personel.And I think is to strip them of their license.

No matter how good you are or how much experience you gather in any field, if you don't have a commitment to that profession, you are a Quack.
