Contest: How do you spend your weekly holiday?

Firstly, holiday is a period of rest from work, school and business. It's a time we get to rest and relax from strenuous activities. Holiday is a time we get to do our recreational activities because we are on a break, it could be casual or an official break.
Holiday is meant to be stress free and peaceful.

Well for me as a student, I get my weekly break on Saturday even though not throughout our the day because we do have practicals every Saturday but it ends by 1. So my holiday begins at 2pm every Saturday. It wasn't so before I got to the university but I had to adjust and I'm already used to it.
The excitement that comes when it's weekend is always on a different level because I get to rest from a stressful week and prepare ahead of the new week. It's only on Saturdays I observe my siesta and it really means a lot to me because subsequent days there will be no time except on Sundays and I usually have other engagement since I'm a worker in my church.
Every Saturday I get to rest and I usually feel so refreshed and relieved of the weeks stress. I also do some recreational activities and I get to hang out with my best friend so we could catch up on the week's gist.

This weekly holiday is usually so important to me, infact the excitement I feel on a Friday is always because I know I'll definitely rest on Saturday and I'll get to wrap my head around all that happened this week and set my goal for the next week.
The holiday is important because:

1. It's a time to go visit family even though I do not go every weekly holiday but at least twice in a month.

1. It's time to reflect on your weekly goals and know if you are making progress or not.

2. It's a time to plan ahead of your new week by starting goals and things you want to achieve.

3. it's a suitable time to hang out with friends and do some recreational activities to ease off the stress and feel refreshed for a new week.

How I spent my last was great because I spent it at home resting and having an amazing time with my family members and creating memories. I actually slept for up to 4 hours in the afternoon and I was so refreshed and relieved. I travelled home for my weekly holiday last week because I was stressed and needed to cool off from stress, it was kind of eating deep into my mood as I was always looking angry because I was stressed. Spending it at home really helped me cool off and I ate some really amazing meals and I felt so refreshed. I also spent time playing with my siblings and doing some catching up since it's been a while we saw.

How I plan on spending next weeks holiday is spending it at my best friend's place. Her birthday is fast approaching and I have to be at her place for week end so I could cheer her up and add some spice to her day, I also got her some really nice gifts and I know she will love them. It's going to be her 20th birthday so I plan on making it the best for her in my own little way just so I could put a smile on her face.

Finally, I feel everyone needs a weekly holiday at least a day or two to just rest and do what makes them happy. It helps to ease off work and school stress there by adding relief to our lives. It's also a time to set our goals right for the coming week.
