Oh it is such a beautiful chilly morning,
When Gertrude the rabbit rise up today.
She'll pick some ripe berries deep in the woods.
And oh, some mushrooms too.
She grab a small basket for carrying her loot;
Put her favourite chunky green sweater on;
Then slip a pair of woolly socks
Hi my creative friends, it is lovely to see you again. I am back to share my drawings with you, hopefully would finish five of them because I am taking part in the Five Days Of Drawing Challenge which I saw posted by @shookt. I had such a relaxing moment while creating this calming picture of a rabbit. I uploaded the process photos below so you can see how my thoughts went and how I made this lovely bunny character :
At first I don't know what to draw for April but Easter came to mind although I don't want to bore you with eggs so a basic rabbit is my starting point.
It didn't take long to pick the right look for this character. I want some sweaters and woolly socks because they go well with the rabbit character that is what I thought
This basket is the defining detail as this lead me to say that the bunny is going to pick some berries and not Easter eggs. I left it empty remember I don't want to bore you with eggs all through the challenge duration.
I am usually good with plain base colors but I had time to spare and spent it adding more depth to this nice green collar of the sweater. Given more time I could have defined the details down to the tiniest thread.
Finally my favourite detail is the pompom on the sock. I used to wear something similar back in the days and I thought that they are cute and warm.
