Hi Steemians,

This pepper is used primarily in every household as one of the key ingredients to cook various dishes. Today, I would like to participate in the contest organized by @ruthjoe. Here is my opinion regarding the topic.

Fresh Bonney Pepper

Scotch bonnet peppers are commonly known in my community as Ata rodo, which usually comes from the northern side because most farmers in the area are engaged in farming irrigation. A bag of bonnet peppers is usually costly in the marketplace, and presently they are selling one bag at the rate of 35,000 naira. I remember last year around November when the price of the commodity reduced to a lower price.

Many people in my area purchased it in large quantities, and most people use the oldest method of food preservation, which is the drying process, to preserve the pepper from spoilage. Many Nigerians, especially women, use this scotch bonnet pepper to bring a nice flavor to their dishes. The green, yellow and ripe ones, which are red peppers, are available in the market but depend on the customers' choice. Scotch bonnet peppers are mostly found in Africa, America, as well as the Caribbean area.

Scotch bonnet peppers are normally hot, particularly when not added with tomatoes or onions. If added with tomatoes, it will make the taste unique.

This pepper has many health benefits. It is effective in preventing asthma. It is also used to lower the risk of cancer cells growing multiple times, such as in breast cancer and pancreatic cancer.

Additionally, researchers have discovered that eating scotch bonnet peppers reduces body fat by helping you eat less, enabling the burning of fat stored in the body. This pepper is necessary; without it, the stew's ingredients are incomplete. It must be included to enhance the food's sweetness. Most farmers use it as a natural insecticide to prevent insects from damaging their crops on the farm.

I would like to invite @rossnenye, @entity01, and @bossj23.
