What is Agricultural Technology in your own words.

Agricultural Technology is the use of technological equipments to improve the profitability and yield of agriculture. These technological equipments plays an important role in agricultural production and in one way or the other impact on the life of farmers. Farmers no longer need to manually cultivate,plant or even apply water, fertilizers and pesticide to their crops instead, they use these machines in their farm lands to help fasten the process, lessen the stress and also saves time.

The primary purpose of using these agricultural technologies is to boost the production of agricultural products and make the works in the farm more efficient and convenient for the farmers. More over, the use of these machines helps to apply exactly what is needed in each location as well as to carefully adapt the treatment to each plant.

Mention at least 3 modern Agricultural equipments and discuss it's uses.

• Tractor

This is one important agricultural equipment that does majority of work on a farm. Tractor can be used to push or pull tools or machines that tills the land, plant seeds and as well perform other task in the farm.

• Planter

This machine is used for planting seeds. When planting, it distributes the seeds evenly in long rows leaving the appropriate spaces that is required in between the crops for them to be able to balance well when growing. Farmers need a planter especially when they want to plant in a large area of land. The type of planter you choose as a farmer depends on the crop and also the area of land to be planted.

• Sprayers

This is another important tool in agriculture. After the planter has finish with distributing the seeds all over the farm, other machinery like self-propelled sprayers is used to apply pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and also fertilizers which will help protect crops from weeds and also enrich the soil with enough manure for the crops.

• Harvester

Harvesters are among the most widely used agricultural equipment. This machine can harvest a variety of crops such as rice, wheat, oat, corn etc. The machine are so large that they usually requires professional farm equipment transport to move them from one location to another.
