Cultivation
Weird facts about this plant is that some of its types have the ability to grow taller than 5 inches in 24 hours. Also, they tend to grow mutually or symbiotically on substrates, composts and woods.
Vegetatively, it is possible to grow them by propagating the spawn, which is their vegetative part.
Also, one could have the spawn incubated in a well monitored environment before stimulating their growth to the fruiting stage; this is done by controlling the amount of light, temperature and moisture allowed around it.
After growing and harvesting, mushrooms are to be kept in a dry and cool place, away from sunlight to prevent them from thawing away undesirably. For future use, it is possible to have them stored in the refrigerator for more than 5 months.
