Hi everybody! This is another chapter of me taking a vacation to one of the best beaches here in the Philippines wearing the universally known happy color, yellow. Happy colors are described as bright and uplifting. It boosts our mood and helps us to have a more positive outlook on life. Colors that are brighter and lighter will make us feel more happy and optimistic.
Yellow color has become one of my favorites, aside from blue and pink. It is my favorite not just because it makes me more positive, but also, it is my mother's favorite color. Ever since I was young, our house's design was really full of yellows. Yellow curtains, yellow floor mats, yellow bed sheets, yellow mugs, and yellow dresses. My mother was even popular in our church to be a woman who loves yellow. Every time I wear a yellow dress to church, all of my friends will ask me if it was my mother who chose and bought this dress for me. I will just respond with a laugh and say, "Who else?"
This color has become my comfort when I feel down and sad. This reminds me of the sun that shines to give light to the plants and other living things. This color reminds me of the sunflower, which is also one of my favorite flowers. ANd especially, this reminds me of my mother who has been a strong mother to both me and my brother. I love yellow, I love my mother.
Our interpretations of color may vary depending on our personal experiences, the people around us, and the surroundings we are in. But with that, let us all treasure every memory embedded in each color, as memories will be the only thing that is left when all things start to vanish.
