Art & Creativity: Playing With Macro Imagery, Again...

in hive-119463 •  2 years ago

Sometimes I outright forget that I have this blog.

Maybe that sounds silly. It was my intention to use it as a sort of "creative sketchbook" for things I am experimenting with. It's always good to get some feedback, and blogs can be great for that!

Not some strange rolling hillocks in the tundra, but the surface of a sage leaf; extreme close-up

One of my favorite aspects of photography is macro. I like to get up and extremely close to subjects, to share with people views of everyday objects from an angle they may never have considered before.

Sometimes, I don't even know what's going to show up, when I set the camera.

The heart of a common catsear flower, magnified greatly. What you there is about 2/3" or 15mm across

Poppies are fascinating, as well. We notice their bright petals... but not so much what is happening at the center:

Again, the above image was magnified considerably.

Isn't nature amazing?

Thanks for stopping by!
