| EngThe ego stimulates the individual to be more beautiful, richer and more important, and feeds the vice of easy applause from the spectacle of earthly illusion, cheap pleasures, empty results and unproductive solutions. The ego, full of good intentions, invents virtues that we do not yet enjoy, rights that we do not have, and often makes us victims of world movements, creating false motives for rebellion. Jealousy, profit and grief are more familiar and are in everyone's gut, without exception. They are inseparable from human nature. But what we do with them determines who we are.

Pero lo que hacemos con ellos determina quiénes somos.
Shadows make it impossible to have a better vision when we project our lives into the lives of others, as if the other person were the decisive factor responsible for our happiness. Understanding that you will not find peace anywhere but within yourself, or accepting that every decision decides someone's destiny, means maturity, basic steps to take.
The Buddha taught us that if you want to know what your future will be like, just pay attention to what you are doing today. Christianity indicates that we must pass through the narrow gate of virtue. Shamanism reminds us that we are the heirs of ourselves.
Denying our shadows is not the best solution; on the contrary, it only allows them to move without any control until they completely dominate us. Every time a shadow takes over, we reveal the worst of ourselves. As a friend and bad advisor, the Shadow only hinders their evolution, trying to protect them. The wisdom is to apply it until it is fully transmitted into the light. For example, there are people who out of jealousy kill or abuse the person they love without respecting the sacred right to choose another person. The newspapers are tired of telling us these things.
But there is someone who, out of jealousy, looks for his guitar to compose a beautiful song. From the same raw material, some follow the paths of crime and madness, others ally themselves with the shadows to create the most beautiful work of art. An enlightened path to transform the coarse into the subtle; a wonderful exercise in spirituality and evolution.
