A delicious and light way to serve fresh blackberries for breakfast or dessert is in a Blackberry Custard Torte. I enjoy using the Oregon-grown wild blackberries. The blackberry torte that I make for my husband always makes him happy.
Ingredients :
Crust:
1/2 cup chilled, finely chopped butter
Baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons and half a cup of sugar
all-purpose flour, 1 cup
1 egg.
Custard Filling:
four egg yolks
2 cups (16 ounces) yoghurt or sour cream
50 g of sugar
Pure vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon.
