I'm gonna tell you guys somethings about Italy which you must know before visiting this wonderful European country.

Ciao a tutti, questo è Ahmad e vi racconterò qualcosa sull'Italia che dovete sapere prima di visitare questo meraviglioso paese europeo.

ITALY:

Italy is a bucket-list trip for many, and with "bene" reason. The Southern European country is home to some of the world's best cuisine, architecture, fashion, art, and Mediterranean coastline. The language, people, and vino have inspired repeat visitors and dedicated Italophiles for centuries. That said, Italy is a complex country with its own set of customs and etiquette that are much different from what you might have seen or read in "Under the Tuscan Sun."

L'Italia è un viaggio da non perdere per molti, e con ragione "bene". Il paese dell'Europa meridionale ospita alcune delle migliori cucine, architettura, moda, arte e costa mediterranea del mondo. La lingua, le persone e il vino hanno ispirato per secoli visitatori abituali e dediti italofili. Detto questo, l'Italia è un paese complesso con i suoi costumi e il suo galateo che sono molto diversi da quello che potresti aver visto o letto in "Under the Tuscan Sun".

Dinner starts at 7:30:

The Italians don’t eat the evening meal as late as the Spanish, but it’s not unusual for restaurants to open a little later than what we’re used to in the United States. Many restaurants (especially outside of tourist hot spots) don’t open until six or seven. Restauranteurs often take a casual approach to business hours, opening and closing when they feel like it. It’s not unusual for a restaurant to close its doors for three days while the owner visits relatives in Naples.

La cena inizia alle 7:30:

Gli italiani non mangiano la cena più tardi degli spagnoli, ma non è insolito che i ristoranti aprano un po 'più tardi di quello a cui siamo abituati negli Stati Uniti. Whether or not you agree with the Catholic Church’s politics, you’re going to have show respect if you want to visit the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Vatican Gardens. Visitors are held to a strict dress code that doesn’t allow low cut or sleeveless clothing, shorts, miniskirts, or hats. Basically, keep your shoulders and knees covered. Also not allowed? Selfie sticks.

Che tu sia d'accordo o meno con la politica della Chiesa cattolica, avrai rispetto se vuoi visitare i Musei Vaticani, la Cappella Sistina, la Basilica di San Pietro e i Giardini Vaticani. I visitatori sono tenuti a un rigoroso codice di abbigliamento che non consente abiti scollati o senza maniche, pantaloncini, minigonne o cappelli. Fondamentalmente, tieni coperte le spalle e le ginocchia. Inoltre non è consentito? Bastoncini per selfie.

No cappuccino allowed after breakfast:

Remember, Italy has a lot of customs and thoughts around food. And one biggie is that cappuccino (or any coffee drink with milk) is for the morning only and never to be consumed after a meal. Italians don’t like the combination of hot milk and a full stomach. You can go ahead and order whatever you’d like, but be prepared for some side eye at minimum and probably a small lecture about digestion. Espresso is fair game all day.

Non è consentito il cappuccino dopo la colazione:

Ricorda, l'Italia ha molte usanze e pensieri sul cibo. E un grosso problema è che il cappuccino (o qualsiasi bevanda al caffè con latte) è solo per la mattina e non deve mai essere consumato dopo un pasto. Agli italiani non piace la combinazione di latte caldo e stomaco pieno. Puoi andare avanti e ordinare quello che vuoi, ma sii preparato per un minimo di occhio laterale e probabilmente una piccola conferenza sulla digestione. L'espresso è un gioco leale tutto il giorno.
