Good day, Steem Geography community. Today I'd like to write a few things about Liechtenstein, a tiny state located between Sweden and Austria with a population of just 38000 rich people. You can see it on the map below, which is highlighted in red. It's the little red dot on the map.

🦷Liechtenstein is the WORLD'S LARGEST Manufacturer Of fake DENTURES, which is really funny given the scale of their state. (60 million fake teeth are made last year!)

💼Because of the low taxes, numerous businesses from all over the world chose Liechtenstein as their headquarters, regardless of whether they live on the other side of the world, and as a result, there are more registered companies than people!

⛰️It is located in the heart of the Alps.

🎉Once a year there is a party in the palace where ALL the inhabitants of the country are invited and hang out with the royal family.

🇩🇪Their official language is German, but they also speak a dialect that is almost similar to that of eastern Switzerland.

🤑It is, in a way, Switzerland's little, much wealthier little sibling. They don't even have their own army; if necessary, Switzerland will come to their aid!

Historical facts

  • The area belonged to the Roman Empire
  • In general, those areas in recent centuries belonged to wealthy royal families
  • In 1719 the rich family of Liechtenstein bought two areas, and built ... the principality of Liechtenstein!
  • Although we live in another era, the phase is still princely in Liechtenstein - in fact, it is one of the few states in the world where the royal family is not decorative. On the contrary, they have the last word on things.
  • They are conservative Catholics
  • Is NOT a member of the European Union
  • It is the last European country to grant women the right to vote (1986)

Bonus fact: As dr. Sheldon Cooper told us in Fun with FLAGS, 🤣 on Bing Bang Theory, Liechtenstein has the same flag as Haiti and was accidentally discovered at the 1936 Berlin Olympics
