This is a popular food in Africa mostly Nigeria which about 90% of Nigerians eat on a daily basis.
Let me explain a little bit more about the processing of this food.
Firstly, after harvesting the cassava from the farm, you bring it back home, pill off the back wash it and take it to the engine room for smashing .
When you're done smashing it, the water in it will be extracted which take about 8 to 10 hours then you bring it back home and filter out the chaff from it before frying it.
