I start Table Tennis in grade 1.Table tennis, also known as ping-pong or whiff-whaff, is a game in which two or four players use small solid rackets to smash a lightweight ball, also known as a ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table. The game is played on a hard table with a net separating the players.

Except for the first serve, the regulations are as follows: players must allow a ball to bounce once on their side of the table before returning it such that it bounces at least once on the other side. When a player fails to return the ball within the rules, a point is awarded. Play is fast-paced and requires quick responses. Spinning the ball changes its trajectory and limits the alternatives available to an opponent, providing the batter a significant advantage.

Before British manufacturer J. Jaques & Son Ltd trademarked the term "ping-pong," it was widely used. Ping-pong became the term for the game played using the relatively expensive Jaques's equipment, with other manufacturers referring to it as table tennis. In the United States, a similar issue emerged when Jaques sold the rights to the "ping-pong" moniker to Parker Brothers. In the 1920s, Parker Brothers asserted their claim for the phrase, forcing numerous associations to change their names to "table tennis" rather than the more widespread, but trademarked, term "tennis."
