Possum has moved in.

So it looks like we have some new house mates.

We were chilling out the front of our house last night, and heard some animals carrying on in the trees. Then all of a suddon a loud thump, we looked around and saw this guy. He just jumped out of the tree and landed on our bin. Then with the quickness he jumped back onto the tree.

He stayed there long enough for me to take a couple of pictures of him then he climbed back up into the tree.

This guy is a brush tail possum and they are pretty common around our place. We had ring tail possums at our old house but I have not seen one here yet.

The number one rule with these guys is, if you see one in the tree don't shake the tree! Because for some reason when they are scared they piss! And if you're under the tree shaking it you will be covered in it 🤣🤣 Which my mate found out the hard way when we were kids.

These possums are generally friendly and like to live in the roof of the house if they can get in, but they sure do make alot of noise! When they fight each other or calling out to each other they sound just like the predator.

Another way they like to make noise is when they get a good run up along your roof then jump into the near by trees. They are always down for some late night parkour.

Have you had any unexpected house mates move in before?
