The Diary Game [22th January, 2023]: Sunday Service; Repositioning The Local Church For Maximum Impact

It is always such a pleasure to share with you. I have great conviction that you are all doing super awesome. Morning came and it was very awesome and bright. Because it rained yesterday, the weather was still cool. But the lights were still off due to the rains yesterday. And this made me delay in some of my activities. January is gradually going to an end and workers are hopeful to see a new month so that they can receive some salary. It is a church day and I had to go to church today.

Immediately I woke up, I knew there was church so I had to prepare quickly and get going. I couldn't skip my morning quite time and prayers. I had my morning quite time and my usual prayers before attending to other duties. Immediately I finished with my morning prayers, I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I then visited the washroom. After that I did some morning exercises.

I had to go to a nearby house to iron my clothes which I would use to go to church. The most unfortunate thing is that around our house has lights all around so I went to a nearby house to iron my clothes. Neighbours here are very charitable. They are kind as well. They received me well in their home. I got back home and had my bath after my clothes were ironed. I dressed up very quickly and had my door closed. I headed towards the road side. The sun was coming out gradually. I walked fast when I realised I was getting late to church.

When I got to church, the Sunday School section was ongoing. I joined the service. The deaconess Madam Lucy Acheampong was leading it. We discussed about retirement and how one must prepare for it. That every body will grow and as a matter of fact we must prepare so that in the near future we wouldn't regret. She emphasized on savings as a way to make the future very safe. The Sunday School came to an end in about 20 minutes time.

After that we had our morning worship and she lead it. We all worshipped the Lord with songs that really made the whole building full of the Holy Spirit. After that the praises continued and we all joined it. Not too many people came to church today. Our presiding elder and a visiting elder joined as. After the praises were over, the visiting elder Nkrumah was given the platform to share the word of God with us. He preached about repositioning the local church for something new. He used the story of the prodigal son in Luke to make his points. He says that after the prodigal son realised his mistakes, he knew he should come home to his father. If we realise our mistakes, God will take us back again.

The preaching came to an end. Offertory was taken followed by tithes. Praises songs were song again. The announcer came to announce what the new week will be. It has been such a wonderful church today. I have learn that we must come back when things are not going on well and our Father God will embrace us. Thank you for your time.
