It is said that because of this light, this tomb was shown from the 50 miles distance. It had three parts. First one was the squire and contained many rooms. The second part contained 8 corners and the balconies were structured there for the enjoyment of visitors. The top was f cylindrical shape. The fire was placed there for the guideness of ships. There was an icon on the top of this lighthouse about which it is considered that this icon could be of Sikander e Azam. Earthquakes in 796 and 951, as well as concrete collapses in 956, 1303 and 1323, partly cracked and destroyed the lighthouse. Earthquakes are triggered by two well-known tectonic borders, the African–Arabic and Red Sea Rift zones, which are 350 and 520 kilometers away from the lighthouse, respectively. The 956 earthquake was the first to cause structural failure of the top 20+ meters of the structure, according to documentation. The construction of an Islamic-style dome after the fall of the statue that previously topped the monument was recorded as part of the 956 earthquake repairs. After that, a sconce was constructed on the same place and the remaining of that tomb were used in the construction of that sconce. This sconce is in the sikendria, city of misser at the same place where there was tomb once.
