Bohemian Rhapsody

In 1990, Freddie Mercury was so weak that he could hardly walk, and he was still recording the last album of his life.

When recording the last song on the album, guitarist Brian was worried that Mercury was too weak to sing the high notes in the song. In the recording studio, Mercury only replied "I'll fuck do it, darling", then bared his teeth and drank a large glass of vodka, completing the most perfect recording in the history of the band.

Coincidentally (inevitably), this song is called "The Show Must Go On". Mercury, who knows that time is running out, never wants to put an end to the music of himself and the band.

A year later, the lead singer gave a curtain call, but the band performance continues to this day.

It's a pity that this paragraph was not filmed in the movie. The story came to an abrupt end after LIVE AID in 1985, which inevitably gave passers-by an illusion, as if Mercury threw the most shining self on that stage and could not pick it up again, and AIDS lost to him on the stage and immediately defeated him in reality.

It's not like that. After that performance, Queen released three more albums and made a record global tour. Mercury didn't admit that she had AIDS until the day before her death.

Another regret in this movie is totally natural disaster, and has nothing to do with manpower: absolutely no one can copy Freddie Mercury's miracle.

Rami Malek has done well enough. He imitated Mercury from die to armpit hair in all directions, so that it is considered by critics to be worthy of an Oscar nomination next year.

However, despite the singing ability (there is really no comparability), Freddie in the movie still lacks a kind of … energy. This kind of "energy" can be masculine and oppressive, or the coquettish air across gender. Malek's too big eyes are not as full of spirits as Mercury's.

Even if these requirements that normal people can't challenge are removed, is Malek's die a bit too big?

Mercury's spirits and voice can't be reproduced, and neither can the era to which they belong.

From 1970-1980' s, young people on both sides of the Atlantic still held budding sympathy for Africa, which was newly independent from the colonial empire, and homosexuality, which was just removed from the list of mental diseases. It was a beautiful time when good intentions were not flooded and good deeds were not hijacked.

In today's world, cruel rationality is gradually resurgent, and the ideals of rock and roll youth are becoming increasingly dim, and even rock and roll has lost its mainstream position in the center of the stage. Just like the rotation of political parties in the United States, it can't be said to be progress or retrogression, but when that time went away, it was gone.

I just think, whether you like to admit it or not, the young band that came together by chance in the same bistro can lift up the young people's mind more than the talented youth group painstakingly dug by the scouts all over the street.
But some things can be copied.

This is a film, which can not only pay back the ticket price but also earn tears, even though there are many regrets, only relying on the last 20 minutes of divine performance.

If you have seen the ancestral ultra-low clear 4 before watching the movie:With 3 LIVE AID videos, you will be shocked and aphasia by the last 20 minutes of this movie.

The greatest success and the most valuable contribution of this film is the meticulous restoration of the most magnificent 20 minutes in the history of rock and roll at the molecular level.

From the beginning of the game, Malek imitated every action of Mercury at ctrl+v level, including every punch and every grin. Everything visible to the naked eye in the scene, as small as the coke and beer on the piano cover (I compared the placement position and liquid level) and the messy power cord on the stage, as large as the entire Wembley Stadium, is exactly the same as in the video.

Most importantly, the film successfully restored the momentum of the scene in 1985. Thanks to the technological progress, we were finally able to jump out of the fixed seats on the stage, let the camera dive down from the stadium, pass over the heads of 70,000 spectators, and then focus on Mercury's waving arms. Rock legends are within reach, and the mountain call and tsunami are just around the corner, making everything that once needed to be supplemented by the brain come true, which is the best place of the whole movie.

To me, this feeling is like playing Super Mary with VR3D HD reset version or Lego bricks with holographic projection controlled by mind. Finally, I don't need to recall the past, but go directly to shine on you.
