Hi everyone, it is true that in life and as humans, we need some form or level of motivation in other to take a big step or even face challenges.

Sometimes, just hearing a simple sentence like "I believe you can do it" from a loved one, can give one all the energy needed to take the bull by the horn or even more.

But bear in mind that, self motivation is even much more powerful.

WHAT IS SELF-MOTIVATION

Ability to do what needs to be done, without influence from other people or situations.

People with self motivation can find a reason and strength to complete a task, even when challenging, without giving up or needing another to encourage them.

People who are self-motivated, tend to possess good time management skills, more self-esteem,
confidence and are often more organized.

Understanding and developing your self-motivation can help you to gain control over many aspects of your life.

In order to gain or motivate one's self, you must

  1. Learn to appreciate yourself
  2. Realize that mistakes are bound to happen, and also learn from them
  3. As much as possible, avoid over-working yourself, because, a recent study has shown that over-stress is a leading cause of depression, and when this sets in, it's difficult to be self motivated.
  4. Highlight your goals, and work on them step by step.
  5. Choose to be Happy.
