Tabbouleh - or tabbouli is a light salad originating from Lebanon composed of a large amount of parsley and a bit of bulgur porridge (and not vice versa, as some mistakenly serve it). I like to eat it, especially in the summer because it is very refreshing. You will find tabbouleh salad in all Lebanese restaurants, where it is served as part of a meze dish, i.e. various starters. It is also very popular in other Middle East countries, such as Syria, Israel, Palestine, and Iraq. In its basic version, the tabbouleh salad consists only of parsley, fresh mint, bulgur, onions, and tomatoes, as well as an olive-based sauce and a large amount of lemon juice (this is important - it must be sour!).

Wara' Enab - a great snack. Stuffing is ground meat, rice, tomatoes, onions, mint and cinnamon. Wrapped in grape leaves.

Kafta - minced meat (mixed with herbs) on a stick, similar to kebab.

Shish Taouk - softy chicken meat on a stick.

Zat'ar - amazing spice (consisting of e.g. wild thyme), which you can add to eggs, bread&oil, or white cheese.
