Hi guys,
I’ve been getting quite a number of portrait commissions lately and I’ve really had a lot of fun working on them.
The forehead has proven to be the best part of the face I enjoy working on, I can’t really tell why this is so. I remember how I used to get worked up whenever my pencil set is not complete and won’t be able to do anything until I have my materials all set up for work.
With time I’ve learnt to be adaptable and able to do my works with limited materials which gave the advantage of the ability to creat a portrait on the go using not more than two pencil on a portrait.
when I say two pencil, I mean my favorite 6b Kimberly graphite pencil and a generals charcoal pencil.
The usual way technique of shading is the step by step layering on shades till you get to the desired tone. Although I don’t do that, 90% of the time I just go straight to the application of my desired skin tone which feels alien to some of artist friends that have happened to be around me when I just start a new work. I’ve been able to master this method of shading after a few years and ultimately enable me to create my works faster, efficiently and accurately.
Kindly share your thoughts as comments below.

Greetings, friend
Hyperrealistic drawing brings into play a great number of skills. I admire your ability to observe, and then convert into pencil strokes each of the details, shadows, lights and the "spirit" of the person you portrayed. Great work.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled that you appreciate the intricacies and nuances that go into creating hyperrealistic drawings. Observing and capturing the subtleties of light, shadow, and expression is indeed a challenging yet rewarding process. Your acknowledgement means a lot to me!

I believe it's better to hire you instead of taking a picture for the ID or did I already say that? I wonder were you born with a pencil in your hand, could you draw before you went to school?

Thank you for the appreciation 😂, of course I wasn’t born with a pencil in my hand but I’ve grown to appreciate and love it’s existence by constantly working to channel my full potential with it…
I started my art journey immediately after I got into school as a child when I first encounter a drawing made by a classmate. That was the spark for me and since then I’ve been working at it to get better
