Sleeping through the alarm isn't something new but today I exceeded all the time lines only to make waking up utterly shocking. Post sehri, as my eyes opened, I couldn't believe time has travelled so fast. I was in bed when I should have been in office. Wailing over the delay would only aggravate the situation so I threw myself out of the bed and got ready in a jiffy. In next 15 minutes I landed in office. Thankfully, I didn't face what I had expected. After settling down, I read some briefs/files and left for the Court.
EVENING
There was not much work in the court so we return immediately after finishing up our matters. Back in office many new briefs were piled up and we begin working on new briefs. I busied myself with the assignment that primarily involved drafting.
During Ramadan, we take off a bit early to prepare for Iftiyari. Reaching back my place, I turned into chef and started cooking. It is really daunting to manage everything when you are away from the family, especially during Ramadan. Kitchen chorus often remains unfinished and the iftiyari reaches. Today wasn't any different, and I was still cooking and the Iftiyari was announced. I broke my fast and offered Prayer.
