SEC17/W4 | Gift that can impress me

Gifts are precious regardless of their size or worth. Being appreciative of the received gifts is another thing that adds value to both the giver and receiver.

In my local dialect, a wise saying translates to "He who appreciates the gift received yesterday will get another one". In essence, as lovely as receiving gifts is, we open doors to more when we are thankful for the previous ones.

This one will be interesting and I can't wait to share with you some of my previous gifts and what I look forward to.

We were taught how to appreciate gifts we received from others as such every gift received must impress us humans. Even though the worth of gifts varies and most times the excitement depends on the need of the receiver at a point in time.

For example, a user who needed 100 USD to sort out some pending bills ended up getting a gift of 1000 USD, the excitement will be higher than a user who needed 1000 USD and got 1 USD gift.

I have a lot on my list and I will appreciate every gift that comes my way, the one that falls under my needs or wants. Givers sometimes don't know what the receiver needs but out of the abundance of the good heart, they give out.

My preferred gift that will impress me so much and will be dear to me and my family is a House. Having a house is one of the dreams I wish I could achieve before getting married but that didn't work and now we have kids. As such, having a gift of a roof of ours over my head will be the most preferred for me at the moment.

Some of the reasons a house gift will be so priceless to me is liberating the family from annual rents and most importantly, it will be a great honour for my twin girls to grow up in a house they can call theirs.

The act of giving is an art and of course, a kind gesture that strengthens our relationship. Let's take an example of little children who constantly receive goodies from a family member or anyone, there will be an evident connection between them.

It's funny that in a family setting, kids tend to have a favourite uncle or aunt... If you trace the reason behind the choice, it's often the level of treatment they receive from the person.

Giving undoubtedly enhances our relationships and brings comfort to the receiver and more blessings to the givers. Both parties (Giver and receiver) end up being blessed.

Looking far into the past or the present time, the most precious gift I have received is my twin girls who landed about a week ago. I was overwhelmed by this precious gift, not many are opportune to receive this kind of gift but God chose me without undergoing any special procedure.

I have always wanted twin babies. My first day in the ultrasound room when my wife was 4 months pregnant was a great day to remember. When the process began, regardless of my inexperience in the behaviour of foetuses in the womb, I was able to quickly identify two little creatures in there and I signalled two to my wife.

I was right, it's a twin gestation. The doctor eventually asked my wife if she knew she carrying twins in her womb. It was an excitement for us that day and when they finally came to life, I can boldly say that they are my best gift ever.

Conclusions

In conclusion, gifts are naturally a relationship bonding gesture which leaves both parties involved blessed. I'm thankful for the gift of life, other amazing gifts and those ahead of me. My twin girls remained my best gift ever after the gift of life. It's a great contest to participate in and I want to invite @xkool24, @mile16 and @meivys to also participate.
