Incredible India monthly contest of April| All about my favorite day of the week.

It's another day of the week and I'm delighted to participate in this contest today organized by @meraindia which talks about All about my favorite day of the week. I will be making my entry below so read through it and drop your valuable comment as it will be appreciated.

1. What is your favorite day of the week and why?

Every week has seven days and in these seven days, there are days that we find interesting and sweet because of the things we achieved or the things that happened to us. So the just concluded week is what I wish to talk about since we are still in the new week and haven't finished with it yet.

The day I consider my favorite in the just concluded week is Wednesday and the the reason for my choice is not far-fetched. On that fateful day, my salary where I was working was paid to me and I was also able to contribute my quota to support my kid brother who went for a screening.

I consider that day as my favorite because I haven't been able to contribute anything meaningful to his life as a kid brother but on that day I had the money and I decided to give some part that he used for his transport and also some for his feeding.

I feel very fulfilled for doing that because that is what is expected from an elder brother always and I'm delighted I was able to meet him at the point of his needs to assist.

2. How do you spend your favorite day? Explain.

I spent my favorite day going to work as usual. After closing from work at about 2:00 p.m., I went back home but before then, I bought a few snacks for my siblings because I had some money with me for that day.

On reaching home, we ate together and I joyfully handed over the money to him because he was almost losing faith that he wouldn't be going for the screening again. After all, he didn't have transport. Immediately I gave him the money, he jumped and hugged me and was filled with joy.

It was a celebration all through that day because everyone was so happy and it was as though we didn't have anything bothering us anymore. The family was so peaceful and I enjoyed the rest of the day playing and cracking jokes with my siblings.

3. Do you think we must get one day in a week to rejuvenate ourselves? Justify.

It is always a good thing to have a day in a week where you can go away from stress and then you can rest your head and relax. Here in Nigeria, workers go from Monday to Friday but rest every Saturday and Sunday.

Sundays are usually days when people go out to have fun with their family and friends, especially during the evening period. So in my opinion everyone should get a day it can be a day off work so that it doesn't interfere with your duties but always create time for yourself to have fun the body needs it.

When you do this once a week, you will notice that you will not be affected by any form of stress instead you will become even healthier and stronger and you will grow better.

4. Do you believe childhood was the best time when we enjoyed our favorite days more comparatively now?

Childhood is a good time but I guess we have lots of restrictions during that period because we were told what to do, where to go and where not to go, and even what to eat was provided for us hence you may not eat what your heart or mind desire.

It's a good thing that your parents provide everything for you and you don't have to worry about the next day as a child but the restriction is what made it not too enjoyable.

To me the current period as an adult where you have the saying on your life is the most enjoyable because you do what you want to do, eat what you want to eat, and also go where you want to go.

Though because of the many responsibilities attached, you may not enjoy this period much it still stands out as the best when you have the resources needed to live.
