Gazipur's Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park.
Numerous small and large animal species have safe havens in the 4909.0 acres of forest area that make up Bara Mathura Mauza in Mauna Union under Sreepur Upazila of Gazipur District and Piruzali Mauza Khand in Piruzali Union of Sadar Upazila. 3810.0 acres of this total have been covered under the Safari Park Master Plan. Official construction of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park, Gazipur began on February 2, 2011, following the project's approval by ECNEC in 2010 at an estimated cost of Tk 63.99 crore. The park's establishment operations had begun earlier. At the start of the project, no master plan could be created. Eventually, a master plan was developed to bring the safari park up to par with world standards, with the assistance of both domestic and foreign specialists. The Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park, Gazipur (1st Revised) project was approved in an extended version by ECNEC on October 4, 2011, with an estimated cost of Tk 219.89 crore. This approval was given to implement the activities outlined in the master plan and to address the complexity of land acquisition.

The layout of the safari park is based on the South Asian model, specifically Safari World in Thailand. Some suggestions for Bali Safari Park in Indonesia are also mentioned. To provide tourists with chances for education, study, and recreation, permanent enclosures are being built around the Safari Park, and native and exotic animals are being allowed to roam freely. This allows visitors to travel in moving vehicles or on foot. A zoo and a safari park are not the same thing. Zoo animals are housed in confinement but are open for public viewing in their natural habitat. However, in safari parks, people drive carefully when driving and wild animals are allowed to roam freely in the jungles.

The Safari Kingdom
Visitors are free to roam about the Safari Kingdom, and the zoo's small cages will house its animals. Safari Kingdom's primary goals are to: Provide leisure for tourists; educate people about wildlife; and create possibilities for study by showcasing a variety of animal crafts and sports. The planned size of Safari Kingdom is 575.0 acres. Nature Viewing Center, Giraffe Feeding Spot, Pelican Island, Boating and Lakezone are some of its main attractions. Other attractions include the Crown Pheasant Aviary with Large Plantation, Dhanesh Aviary, and Bird Aviary (Ardhatu) with Domestic and Exotic Birds, including Parrot Aviary, Crocodile Park, Orchid House, Butterfly Corner, Vulture and Owl Corner, Egg World, Tortoise and Tortoise Breeding Center, Lamchita House, Kangaroo Garden, Elephant-Show Gallery, Peacock/Macaw Open Land, Snake Park, Fancy Carp Garden, Fancy Dark Garden, Lizard Park, Food Court, Observation Tower, and Reservoir, among others.
The Biodiversity Park
Preserving the gene pool of uncommon and endangered tree species is the primary goal of this park's establishment. In addition, several kinds of trees will be planted in this park to preserve the forest and biodiversity. The park will be designed to resemble Balda Gardens and the National Botanical Gardens. It has been determined that Biodiversity Park occupies an area of 965.0 acres.
A vast Asian safari park
There will be an extensive safari park there with all Asian herbivores, small carnivores, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. creating appropriate pastures, plantations, reservoirs, camps, and enhancing the natural woods that already exist to provide habitat for wildlife. The park's total acreage has been calculated to be 824 acres.
Six of us went to the safari park. There was my great aunt and we were three cousins and cousin had son and daughter .

Historical records state that the Bhawal Raja's zamindari included the Shal forest in Gazipur. Following the enactment of the Zamindari Abolition and Occupancy Act of 1950, the Forest Department assumed responsibility for Shalban's administration. The Baid land is privately held, but the majority of the Chala land is governed by the forest department because of its valuable forest land. Due to forced encroachment, land thievery, livestock grazing, and fast development, Shalbon's biodiversity is rapidly disappearing despite its proximity to Dhaka. The destruction of biodiversity by industrial waste is catastrophic
