Do you believe God and evil power exists? Explain?

In simple words, I would say "YES". I was born into a religious family, in fact, the society where I live is basically religious. As a child, my parents would always tell me to be careful of wicked people and to believe in God and the power of God. In my country, we use the slang "Village People" the describe wickedness from a person's household or state of origin. Nigerians believe that their villages are filled with evil people who do not want them to succeed, so they are always scared of going to the village. While praying in so many religious places, the clerics would ask people to pray against evil from their hometown, so there is no way that one would say that Nigeria is not a religious country that believes in spirituality, which in turn means that I believe in Good and Evil, I believe in the existence of God, the existence of Evil power and the fact that they manifest.

Have you ever felt any supernatural power? Describe

I have seen so many people have evil experiences but I haven't experienced any as I am very careful not to fall into the bad books of people since we cannot say that one person is a good person or a bad person. I have always prayed and I believe that God has been protecting me and will keep protecting me. Let me share one supernatural experience I saw even though I wasn't the culprit.

I was in the house one sunny afternoon when I heard people shouting outside. For my safety, I had to do a quick check to be sure that I was safe, only to see two people naked and stuck together. I enquired and later realized that they were victims of Magun (thunderbolt). Magun is a Yoruba traditional charm used on unfaithful wives who their husbands suspect to be cheating on them. From the moment the husband performs the Magun rite on the wife without her knowing, he would prevent having coitus with her. if she is unfaithful and she goes to her lover's place for a good moment of palatable coitus, the lover starts to see his last days as a living person. Depending on the type of Magun (thunderbolt), the male lover can start drinking water until they are drawn in it, they can start eating unripe pawpaw which becomes later suffocates them, they can begin to eat Garri (Cassava flakes) without water until they become stuff and die in the process, or both the lover and the cheating wife become stuck together until they die or someone cast another spell to set them free. In the case where the wife isn't cheating, she starts to fall sick unknowingly to her until her husband cast another spell to set her free from it. This is regarded by so many people as an evil act because a lot of women have been sentenced to serve prison terms or even death on the charges of murder whereas they were victims of a wicked practice.

Share your perspective about the power of God and Evil.

I am a Christian, I believe that there is an almighty God who oversees the affairs of humans, judging everyone according to their deeds. Some people will get their judgment on earth before they continue their suffering in the afterlife, or escape the suffering on earth to meet with their judgment in heaven. People can be evil, having fun in the downfall of others. I believe that both exist and that while God is almighty, he can allow evil to have its way. In some cases where people are not prayerful in other to get free from the bondage they are by evil people, they can end up losing their life and still suffering from it. God is the almighty for me, and he is always true and sincere.

Nice to read about your faith in God and concept of evil. However, i couldn't understand what Nagun is .

Good luck

Magun is a diabolical spell cast on females in the western part of Nigeria to confirm infidelity and to punish the lover (the male) who the female cheats with.

You can read this write up to understand it better.

Thanks for the mention. No doubt, both exist and just as we know, they are of different perspectives. One acts good while the other in an opposite action. Goodluck with your entry

Thanks a lot for the comment. You do not know how much it means to me. I am glad that a lot of good still happens in our world where evil looks like it dominates.

You are welcome. Its always the case. But that wont deter the good ones from thriving. There's always a sharp end to bad deed. Shalom
