Do you believe history repeats itself through genes? Justify.
While i myself think this question is subjective, i think i would for under the category of those that believe so, although they are some factors which i believe influence and not just genes.
For example a child primary way of learning is by copying, so by living in the same house as his parents for a long period of time the habits and mannerisms he is bound to get is going to be primarily gotten from his parents, this has nothing to do with his genetic makeup, while many things can be transferred through the genes like how strong the immune system of a child is, susceptibility to addiction and other biological function and abilities of the the child, i do not believe habits itself can be transferred but there is a high chance that the child might have same behavior due to same genetic makeup giving same habit am example of this.
An athletic man who is physically superior to most of his peer is highly likely to go into sports and have a self assuredness about himself or confidence due to his superior physical ability, if such a man has a son even though the child doesn't grow up with him the same gentic make up and physical ability he shares with his father will make it likely for him to go down the same path as his father.
Which habits transfer to you from your parents, or your children (if any) get the same from you?
Growing up in a family of teachers, reading was commonplace and i easily adapted that behavior when i was a kid especially from my father who reads a lot, i wasn't forced to do ot but did it of my own volition
Share any of your habits that make you smile, proud to believe the proverb.
Like i wrote earlier reading, while everyone reads as it is the primary source of getting knowledge, not everyone enjoys or reads on instincts or out of a habit, reading a page more than someone can be the difference between your scores in exam so is reading something more than once as i have experienced many times. And while reading many self improvement books you will find out that 99% will instruct you to make reading a habit, i am proud that it is something thay is already part of me
Do you believe history somehow carries the legacy of our previous generation? Share your opinion.
A strong Yes, this is a widely accepted notion and i strongly believe in it, i will use three factors as my case of study
Cultural and Societal inheritance
You will find out that the demographic area you are living in has its own beliefs different from other places it varies from area to area, state to state and country to country and you will find out that these traditions and practices didn't start in your generation nor your father's generation but dates way back some even before the establishment of the AD era, that is because the legacies of those that came before us were carried along till these current times and are still practiced, that is why languages and old cultural festivals still exists
Historical lessons and progress
Where we are today and the progress we have made is solely due to our long history, the study of history allows societies to learn from past mistakes and build on past success.
Progress is never ending and you can't progress further if you don't have a foundation already
Family legacies
While i do not believe habits are inherited, i do believe family legacies shape a person, the experience handed down through the generations is sure to affect the next generation, a perfect example is a family with a strong tradition of military service
this will undoubtedly have an effect on the current generation and make him want to join the army to continue the family lineage.
This is my honest opinion about this topic , i hope you enjoy it
