Wedding Season Reflections

Wedding is a very wonderful occasion that brings joy and happiness to people, most especially to the couples that are involved and also their families it is a day of ceremony that will be very memorable.
I have attended many wedding ceremonies and have encountered wonderful and bad memories from it, and I will discuss them with you below.

Although I smile not to type that lives attending wedding ceremonies because I am an introvert so I smile not familiar with all these events, but the wedding ceremony is quite different because it is very unique from other ceremonies.
The coming together of a man a wife as husband a wife is a lifetime decision, and what God has joined together let no man put asunder, so it calls for a huge celebration.

In my area our wedding ceremonies is really beautiful and the first I attended was one of a kind because I really enjoyed myself, they was enough to eat and drink and I was very happy attending thst wedding ceremony because I enjoyed myself with my friends.
The reception was quite wonderful and interesting and the couple danced together and also the in-law was very happy to see their children happy together.

In Nigeria, we have two different kinds of wedding.

• Traditional wedding
• White wedding

Traditional wedding: This is a wedding that the groom will go to the bride village and perform all the marriage rite by paying sole money om her head and also buying drinks, goat and also kola nut to celebrate their union in the village of his wife and he must abide by their culture and traditions before he will carry her home as his wife.

White wedding: This is a wedding ceremony that is being held in the church where a priest or pastor will join the couples together as husband and wife, I believe this is the most porpular wedding ceremony in the world and also the most entertaining one.
Friends, family and well washers of the couples will come to celebrate with them because it is a very special day in their life.

As a Nigerian that I am wedding ceremony are always been held on Saturday as it is considered the perfect day for wedding day celebration so that the next day being Sunday the couples will dance together to the alter of God for thanksgiving with same dress.

They are also what we call honeymoon, which is also considered as a wedding night that both couples will have to enjoy themselves to the fullest.
They will have the time of their lives by having fun together a special moment that will forever be remembered by them.

I have attended different wedding ceremonies, but they were one that was very horrible for me because of the incident that I encountered at the reception centre.
After the wedding at the church we went for refreshments where food and drinks will be distributed to people and also dance amongst the couples.
This is the time that gifts and money will be given to the couples to congratulate them for their successful wedding ceremony.

After everything I was given a plate if rice and I kept it at the corner after sometime I wanted to eat it but unfortunately I couldn't find it as it was stolen, I was very angry and I asked those around me and they all denied.
I worked all day just to make sure that I contributed to the success of the wedding ceremony so for my meal to get missing, I was very angry and devastated.

Another experience was when the couple, when wanted to do a wedding, came without their ring, it was very funny and the whole church started laughing at them.
Even the priest was also surprised because in his entire life, he has not witnessed such a scenario. They had to borrow a ring from someone around just to make sure that the wedding was complete.

I have also witnessed a wedding ceremony where the couple borrowed a vehicle that took them to the church, they even went to the church late because we had to send for them to come immediately otherwise people will go.
This was the worst wedding ceremony that I have ever attended in my entire life as they was no food or drinks to enjoy.
A very low budget wedding that made people to be talking I call it a hell of a wedding and till date each time I remember that day I will just be laughing.
