STEEM KINDNESS || ACTS OF KINDNESS
• (Thursday, August 25, 2022)
Hello all Steemian friends, this time I greet you all again through writing this post, and here I will discuss about an Acehnese art and culture, and about me following this traditional and cultural art.
Okay friends, please stay with me here until the end of writing, because everything will be more exciting if you stay consistent with us.
First I will discuss about a traditional art or an Acehnese cultural art - with the intention that my discussion here is about the Aceh Talam.
So here I will discuss only about this one cultural art.
• What is Talam?
Talam is a place for serving traditional food that is often used by the people of Aceh, both in traditional events or on weekdays. While idang is serving, or serving food in a tray.
Talam cake is a type of traditional snack that can be found in various regions in Indonesia. Talam cake has a sweet and savory taste. The savory taste of talam cake comes from coconut milk which is one of the main ingredients. In the month of fasting, talam cake is one of the menus for breaking the fast.
That is the meaning of Talam. But the tray that I will mean here is a tray that is prepared with full of delicious (traditional) cakes that contain it, which has also been decorated according to the beauty of Acehnese art and culture to be presented on the day of the delivery of the newlyweds. This will be the topic of our discussion this time with Talam Aceh.
The trays that I mean here are usually called Talam Idang (dish), and Talam Peuneuwo (delivery of newlyweds).
So please pay attention to the section below.
Idang and Peunuwoe are dishes given by one bride to the other.
Usually when delivering the groom, the entourage brings Idang for the bride in the form of cakes, clothes and daily necessities.
Meanwhile, when delivering the bride, her entourage will bring back the tray which was filled with Acehnese food (traditional cakes).
The tray given is usually an odd number. This new couple is required to bring food if they go to their relatives' homes when they start fasting and the first Eid.
The custom continues until the wife gives birth to the child, the mother-in-law will bring food and the wife responds.
So this is a cursory understanding of the Acehnese cultural art tray on the wedding day.
This is the tray that has been prepared for the next day with the delivery of our newlyweds.
And the newlywed I mean here is none other than - but one of our Steemian friends, namely brother @aril.hatake. Hopefully tomorrow he will appear at his wedding with a more manly and handsome.
Okay friends, I will continue with the topic of my next discussion, which is about my involvement in an act of kindness at brother @aril.hatake's house in an effort to prepare various other cultural arts to be brought the next day to the house of the newlyweds.
This activity is a part of our culture that brings together the youth to help complete or prepare various other cultural arts that will make gifts or offerings from the groom to the bride.
This has made a very beautiful culture to maintain cohesiveness and unity in social life.
In our youth era - we will continue to maintain, maintain this culture until the stage of the youth generation after us, meaning we are strengthening the sense of youth unity that we display in front of the next generation - so that they can exemplify all of this and reunite in the youth era of the next generation. In order to maintain a culture that has been passed down to us by our ancestors before.
Here I am with all the other young men preparing - making or decorating as well as possible on these packages so that they become beautiful gifts to be brought or presented to the new bride (bride from brother @aril.hatake), hopefully she will enjoy her happy day tomorrow day.
And here we are helping for all of these gift supplies. We did it together and peacefully.
Until we've done all this - then we'll say goodbye to him and leave his yard.
It should be noted that we are fighting for a beautiful culture that has been inherited from our generation. And this is where a sense of peaceful unity emerges between us again.
Okay friends, this is the writing this time that I dedicate to you about our art and culture and about an act of kindness that has taken place with us tonight. Hope you can like it.
I thank everyone who has read this writing. Hope your days are fun.
