My Diary - Thursday, November 24, 2022 || Happiness In Teacher's Day Activities

In the following, I will describe the activities and happiness that I felt that day in my daily diary at the most historic moment in welcoming National Teacher's Day which was held at school.

This Thursday morning the atmosphere was so bright as if the sun was also happy to welcome the most historic day for us teachers or educators of the nation's children. After the morning prayers in congregation at the Babul Huda mosque, I greeted the morning cheerfully and enthusiastically. I immediately continued various activities at home before leaving for work. This Thursday the sun has been shining brightly since morning. Thursday is a special day for Muslims all over the world.

After breakfast at 7 o'clock I immediately went to school. Before arriving at the place of activity, I stopped for a moment at the regular coffee shop. As a coffee connoisseur, it has become a morning habit to drink a cup of black coffee. Still being able to enjoy morning coffee is an invisible happiness, because so many people are not allowed to drink coffee. So I am always grateful for the blessings that God still gives so that I can enjoy coffee.

Not long after I left the cafe and headed straight to my beloved school. Arriving at the school yard which looks beautiful and shady, it seems that the teacher's day activity committee is preparing for the ceremony. National Teacher's Day which is celebrated every November 25th is held one day earlier in each school. The activity began with a flag ceremony in the school field with officers from the teacher council and education staff. Teacher's Day flag ceremony, the principal of the school who acts as the supervisor of the ceremony.

After the flag ceremony was finished, it was continued with various events that had been prepared by the osis board. All of these activities are devoted to all teachers as a form of students' gratitude for their beloved teacher. Happiness was very clear on the teachers' faces seeing the enthusiasm of the students in giving awards on this teacher's day. For a moment everyone forgot all the problems that happened in class and school. All teachers and students mingle to welcome this happy day.

It began with the recitation of the holy verses of the Qur'an by one of the students, then the event continued with a light dance by the school's POMA studio. Then the event took place with great fanfare which was displayed by the students until it ended before noon. This joyful event was specially presented by the students for the school principal, teachers, and education staff. After the series of events finished I went home and rested until the evening before going to bed.
