Hello everyone,
Welcome to the third week of the steemit engagement challenge.
I am glad to be taking part in this week contest titled "Time is money".
The term time is money is a very popular one amongst all the races in the world. This phrase was first used by Benjamin Franklin in his advice to a young tradesman.
In as much as Benjamin Franklin is believed to be the first to use the now popular phrase, the phrase was made popular by George Fisher in his 1794 book titled "The American instructor". On the book, he quoted Benjamin Franklin by saying "Always remember that time is money".
Personally, I believe that the phrase is quite appropriate and below are my reasons.
- Time can take the place of money and vice versa.
Time can take the place of money and vice verse. This means that what you can do with your time, you can save you time and pay someone else to get it done for you. Now, you have used money to buy time and the person that got the job done for you has used their time to get money.
- Using time well saves money.
When you use your time well especially when you're working on a project, it saves you money. This is because, the more time you spend on the project, the more money you will spend.
- Wasting time equals waste of money.
This is true because when you spend a lot of time on one thing, it hinders you from other earning opportunities.
- Time is money can also be taken metaphorically
Referring to time as money can be regarded as a metaphor in the sense that both time and money are important. Time is as precious as money and both can goes hand in hand.
Personally I value time a lot because I see it as the basics on my life. I do not see time as a thing outside my life which I am supposed to work and live in accordance to. No, time is my life and what I do with time is exactly what I do with my life.
They often say time cannot be recovered but I do not believe that. I believe that time can be recovered because it is my life. I can correct a past mistake and by doing so, I have recovered a wasted time/life.
Let's take for instance, I am supposed to write this contest yesterday but I got distracted and yesterday passed. Now, one can say that I have wasted time and now it cannot be recovered.
It is true that I have wasted time by wasting a time of my life which I could have used to participate in a contest in Steem entrepreneurs community but if I eventually write the contest tomorrow, I can say that I have finally done what I should do therefore I have recovered the time I previously wasted yesterday.
In summary, I value time a lot but I see it as something that can be recovered once a person starts doing the right things with their life because time is not a concept but our lives.
In the past week, I have been able to make 7 posts on steemit including crypto academy engagement contest.
To be honest, I do not follow any particular time sequence when it comes to writing on Steemit. This is because I believe that my devotion to steemit is more than just writing contents rather, it is something I have taken to be part of my life work at the moment so I write anytime that is possible for me.
If I am not able to write in the morning, I do well to write in the afternoon. If it is also not possible for me to write in the afternoon, I can write at night or even midnight just as I am doing now.
Any day I am not able to write, I do not see it that I have wasted time but rather I do well to write more the following day.

I agree with your view on the importance of time in life. Time is a non-renewable and very valuable resource, therefore, using it wisely is very important. Yes. Time is equivalent to money is we are on that contest. Time can also be equivalent to several other things such as love, happiness, peace, and any other thing we can make out of our lives.
