I'm so glad to participate in this amazing contest organized by @harferri on "Celebrating 30 days of #club5050.
Celebrating 30 days of the #club5050 initiative is really an amazing thing to do. Infact a whole physical party should be hosted in regards to this amazing celebration😀
When I joined the steemit platform in July, 2021. I took time to study the platform very well and I got to understand that the steemit platform is actually a business of power ups because with power ups the strength and growth of a user's account is achieved and also, doing more power ups than withdrawal reduces the amount of Steem in circulation, thereby creating some demand for the steem coin and hence the increase in the price of steem.
Checking out some top users profile and seeing the amount of steem power displayed there got me intrigued and I wished I could be like them someday. Well, I did my own power up in the little way I can.
Until around mid-october when the #club5050 initiative was announced in the steemit whatsapp group that I belong (Nassarawa state steemit whatsapp group) I was a bit confused with this initiative and never understood fully what this initiative was all about until a tutorial session was held @steemalive classroom telegram group where a detailed explanation was given about the #club5050. At first, I was a bit discouraged not to join because few days before the time the #club5050 initiative was introduced, I already made a withdrawal of 176 steem to solve some personal needs and so did not have much steem in my wallet to do a power up. And I wished this amazing initiative came in to play even before I made my withdrawal.
But I discovered that all the communities that I belonged to made it a top rule for all active subscribers who would want to engage in contests to join the #club5050 initiative inorder to get community support or curators vote. And I joined immediately without hesistation.
All thanks to the organizers of this initiative for making it simple and easy for all users to be able to join by introducing the various scales such as the #club75 which involves powering up with more than half of your earning, the #club5050 which involves powering up half or 50% of your earning and the #club100 which seems to be the highest of all the power up scales, it involves powering up all your earning.
At first, the rule of the #club5050 was to do a power up with 50% of your earning at 7days interval. So I queued in so as to be a qualified member of the #club5050 and also get to use the hashtag on all my posts.
My first power up started with powering up all my earning which I got to understand is the #club100. And almost after few days, the rule of the #club5050 initiative was changed from powering up at 7 days interval to a 30 days interval. I also adjusted to the new rules and did more power up because I have a goal.
Well, I would say that so far I'm getting close to my goals. I have the motive of growing my account to the point of having a high voting power so as to also take part in voting for my fellow Steem members. My dream is to get to at least 500sp before the year runs out.
I'm working on it already which is why in the mood of the 30 days celebration of the #club5050 initiative I have bought 30 steem using my local currency in Naira, about N11,000 and I have powered up with 54 steem inorder to remain a qualified member of the #club5050 initiative.

Checking my wallet history with https://steemworld.org/ has made me know how far I've gone with my power up goals and made me so happy about my journey to maintain my #club5050 status.

I have been able to power up 144 Steem between 20th October to 20th November. I am glad to be a member of the #club5050 initiative and I will keep doing more power up to be an active member.
In conclusion, I appreciate the #club5050 initiative a lot because without it so many users wouldn't have being encouraged to power up the way we do now.
With the power up I've done so far within these 30 days, I believe I'll hit my goal soon. The #Club5050 initiative is for the good of every steemit user. I encourage everyone in this community who have not joined to do so and you'll be glad you did just like me😄
