Contest: New Journey, New Hope for Prosperity

Hello 👋 they amazing entrepreneur how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you business are running smoothly and without obstructions, as for me I'm fine and my business is also very much fine as well.

Today in my entry I will be discussing via a contest topic "New Journey, New Hope for Prosperity" which is being introduced to us by @f2i5 here in the steem entrepreneur community.

Introduction

---

Being an entrepreneur in a nutshell may sound simple and easy as most people may think that it's all about establishing a business and going out to run it then at the end of the day you come back home.

---

But in the real world they are wrong as they are more to being an entrepreneur than just opening your shop and attend to customers, they fail to understand the stress involved in running a successful business, they tough choices you have to make for the survival of your business etc.

---

I on the other hand have always have passion for business and I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur and own my own personal business were I get to be my own boss and be on top of the chain of command.

My Entrepreneurial Journey

It all started back then in the year 2019 after I graduated from high school in 2018, when I started having visions of great and big things but how to start it was always the problem.

---

At first I'd manage to serve up some money and begin selling fuel and kerosine Infront of our house, though I made little profit from the business then after a while in 2020 I stop the fuel business when I'd manage to secure a job as a cashier in a bet shop.

---

At first everyone in our community warned me about the business that it's always very hard and that cashier's always get into financial problems with the management, but I was positive of the things I wanted to achieve so I still went ahead and accepted the job

At first when I started just like those people said I had lots of shortages to the extent that I stayed threw good months without receiving a salary, but after a while I started keeping up and I started making profit from it after determining to myself that I must gain from the business.

So eversince then I have been doing the business till 2022 when I went to abak local government area where I stayed with my senior brother we always go out for jobs on the street sometimes then after a while I managed again to get a job as a cashier in a bet shop again but I didn't serve they long because a customer came and stole my money putting me in trouble with the owner of the shop so immediately I'd manage to pay off the dept I left they immediately.

When I left I came back to etinan in 2023 where yet again I was offered a job as a manager in a bet shop and it was at this point that I started setting a goal for myself, I said to myself that I'm tired of working for someone that is high time I make something for myself.

So I declare that job as the last service for someone, and I used the whole of 2023 to get myself prepared by saving lots of money that would be enough to start up anything in future.

My Achievement In The Business

---

Still working as a cashier though it wasn't easy as it sound because my job description was 7 days a week with no day off and I had to come to work from morning and go home late at night.

But despite the stress I made it all worth it by ensuring that I save enough money which I manage to save a minimum of 5 thousand naira a day which is equivalent to 11 steem a day and at the same time I supported my brothers through university and I also bought a motorcycle for myself as well as my dream mobile phone.

Then after that when I was sure that my savings was enough early January 2024 I choose to relax and stop working then relocated to uyo city to stay with my brothers which just like I'd plan with little part of my savings I'd manage to set up a POS (point of service) business for myself in a school environment the university of uyo and by God's grace the business is moving very fine.

The Transformation That Brought Me Success

The basic transformation that brought me success and made me an entrepreneur today is focus and determination, at first I knew exactly what I wanted to achieve so I made it to become my greatest target and I made my everyday to be towards achieving it.

I transformed myself and move away from my comfort zone to an uncomfortable place so as to be able to raise the certain amount I needed which I did so as to make my dreams a reality.

I am a proud business owner today all because of my hard work and dedication and I'm proud to say that even though I'm far away from home I'm totally independent and able to take care of myself and my brothers all because I'd planned everything perfectly well

This will be all about my journey as an entrepreneur, what's your own story because everyone has a story to tell, I will like to invite some of my friends to also share their own entrepreneurial journey with us
