Bangladesh is a riverine country. We are Bengali in fish and rice. Fish is the main food of our country. Fishermen earn their living by catching fish. Fishermen's occupation is fishing. Those who are engaged in fishing are called fishermen. Fishermen usually catch fish in rivers, canals, ponds, etc. But those who catch fish in the river have a hard life. Because they always have to catch fish in the river. Whether the weather is bad or good is no obstacle. Even if it is stormy or raining, they go fishing in the river, there is a lot of risk. In the urge of life, they are always struggling through fishing. Again, there are many fishermen or nets, they only catch fish in canals, ponds and rivers. They are constantly preparing for fishing. The storm, the water seems like nothing to fishermen or fishermen. They are used to catching fish.

Fishermen usually communicate with fishermen the day before fishing. After talking the day before, fishermen go out to catch fish before nightfall. Winter or rain suits them. Then the fish has to be sold by taking it to the market. Fish are sold in the market at wholesale market prices. Again, by selling that fish in the market, some kind of fishermen live their lives by sharing the profit from it. The livelihood of fishermen is very sad and difficult.

Fishermen earn their living by selling silver carp fish at 150 taka per kg, pangas fish at 170 taka per kg, rui fish at 200 taka per kg, bata fish at 150 taka per kg, etc.
