SEC-S9W1 - Nearer to the Steem Representative.

Greetings everyone,

This week's topic of discussion is "Nearer to the Steem Representative (SR)". The SR is a central position with major responsibilities on the Steemit platform as they stand to represent Steemit everywhere they find themselves, even in their sleep, lol 😆.

Our Steemit platform presently has 20 SRs in the 1st phase and we are expecting to have an additional 20 for the 2nd phase. Based on the current SR, I will be discussing briefly @Patjewell, who I have impacted in me and have learned a lot from even as a person, I once did refer to her as my "Steemit mother".

Your impressions of them.

Giving credits as it's due to all, all the current SRs are well-deserving of this status and responsibilities even as I don't know them all in person, but be that they have been the selected few, I know they deserve it. At least I know for sure, cause I am in contact with one, @patjewell so please forgive me If I didn't mention your name it does not mean you don't deserve it but rather, we haven't met.

I choose @patjewell from South Africa because she has been the SR closest to me. There was a time I cried about how to go about things on this platform, and she walked me through even without knowing who I was, and I have always been grateful since that day. She is ever ready to help everyone as much as she can without hesitation.

Also, write positive things that inspire you from it.

Inspiration is one thing she dishes out in a platter of gold, she loves to reach out to as many as possible as I've seen her do a thousand and one times, I won't be surprised to see her name pop up virtually everyone's post cause that's who she is, an inspirational figure on this great platform. Her act of kindness and dedication to making this platform grow consistently, and her consistency in growing her Steem power to help even more inspire me also to build my SP and support other users according to my ability.

Aside from her dedication to helping others grow, one thing she is good at is creating content, OMG! Have seen her content? If not you need to find out yourself. She gives that feel-at-home vibe when you go through her content and it always captivates me her consistency is unspoken of as I try to draw inspiration from her.

Have you ever met in person or just communicated via Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, or something else?

Obviously No, as I am in Nigeria whereas she's from South Africa so no I have not met her in person, although she might have invited me over on a few occasions, lol. Our only means of communication has been on Steemit and a few other Whatsapp groups not even in Direct Messages (DM).

I look forward to really learning more from her and hopefully working together someday and who knows, maybe we get to meet someday too.

What are your hopes for the elected Steem representatives?

Like earlier said, I may not know all of them, but I do have high regard for all of them and I hope that they come together in unity and help build this wonderful platform to a great standard cause I believe in their capacities as the Steemit team before selecting/electing them. The role is indeed a notable one, with enormous functions and for that singular reason, I hope they help others to thrive and stretch out the merits of the Steemit platform beyond boundaries.

I'm of the positive mindset that these representatives will touch more lives. I so look up to them all that I wish to be like them someday. I hope their good deeds spread across nations like a forest fire so those outside this great platform can also benefit from and come to identify with the platform.

CONCLUSION

To whom much is given, much is expected they say, and it is he who wears the crown, that can tell how heavy it is. So I plead with all the SRs to continue their good work in promoting this wonderful platform both on and off it. It has never been easy to lead, and yet it is a privilege that most people seek.
