Steemit Engagement Challange II | Steem Kindness Contest - Tell us how STEEM changed your life for the better life By Whitestallion

Hello friends and welcome to my entry to Steem Entrepreneurs Engagement Challange week 2 on how steemit has changed my life for better.

So I have been around here for more than 3 years now and my journey in the last 2 years has been nothing short of exciting , i have had my tough times and and glorious periods since i began this journey and it is the mix of these periods that has made my journey very exciting and worthwhile.

There is no doubt that steemit has changed my life in many ways, i have benefitted a lot from my time here, things i couldn't have learnt elsewhere and i am very grateful for this experience.

Before i talk more about how steemit has changed my life, let me tell you how i got to lean about steemit.

Where it all Began

After my graduation from high school, i was very thrilled to finally finished my basic education and was ready for a new challenge. I decided to delay college by a year so could attain some sort of skill level before making my way to college the following year. So i decided to go meet my uncle @focusnow who was a computer science graduate, he had an office at the hear of the city and i soon began classes to learn extra skills with a computer.

I made my intro post 3 and half years ago and under the tutor of @focusnow. I was very eager to start my journey as a newbie since this was a very new and different experience for me, i soon made my first post about a super car that i loved- Bugatti Veyron. After that post i made a few more over the course of the weeks that followed.

I really wanted to become good at something and since steemit offered me the ability to both learn and earn at the same time I was never going to pass the opportunity on. So i joined steemit so I could experience a new opportunity as a high school graduate.

Soon i realized that expectations were quite misplaced and i had a lot to learn about steemit, it wasn't just about making posts, it was very important that i connected with thousands of of steemians out there, which i wasn't clearly doing so i thought that was the problem, at least it had to be it, but unfortunately it wasn't.

I soon leaned that the whole system wasn't designed to accommodate the minnows, instead the whole algorithm was always in favor of the big whales which made it very difficult to make an progress.

I soon focused on Original works weekly contest right up to the moment they ceased operations on steemit, I switched up and started hunting products under steemhunt, which i did until I began inactive again.

I cam back again on July 2020, that day marked the start of something remarkable, i have been active on steemit since then until today. My experience so far has been different from my first leg as a young high school graduate.

How has my life changed since then and what are some the things i have been bale to do?, lets see

The Turning Point

I soon linked up with @focusnow who introduced me to his newly crated community on steemit, @steemalive has just made its introduction post a few weeks when i joined and we started our journey together.

We quickly started giving back to the community by organizing weekly seminars on Saturdays and recruiting massively,. we held radio talks.

Below are some of images 2 years ago when we began our weekly seminars.

How did these weekly events help me, it affected me in many ways, below are some of the ways it has.

• It helped me to reach out and make new friends, most of the people i know and work with today were as a results of our weekly semianrs. Steemains like @ngoenyi, i first saw her in one of the seminars, she was a guest speaker just like me, we met there and that's how our friendship began.

• These were times were the genesis of my journey back home i leaned patience and perseverance not just as a steemains but in life in general.

• I was also able to perfect my public speaking, cause i would speak before the guys mostly unknown people about steemit and i will also attend to questions they ask.

These were just the genesis of the positive changes i saw in my life, all part of the steemit revolution. The journey towards better life continues.

Campus Connect and New experiences

A new phase and a new challenge was born when i created campus connect community- A community for college steemains all over the world.

After i became a country representative for Nigeria, i looked for ways to give back, at least something that will benefit all people and impact their lives positively. As a student the idea of a campus based community was so prospective and mind-blowing, so i proceed to create Campus Connect which began a new chapter and experience for me.

Campus Connect has changed my life as i used to know it, i have made significant improvements with Campus connect and one of the things i think is the most profound is jhow many students life here in Nigeria and across the world i have been able to affect positively.

This has always been the plan, making the lives of student's better with steemit, and we did that. The photos below are absolute proof of how we have been bale to affect the lives of students

The smiles of everyone in these images above is proof of how much campus connect has really has affected all of them, each of them have been affected positively directly or indirectly. This is the source of my Joy and it gives me a strong feeling of accomplishment.

This so far has been one of my most proud accomplishment, i am happy to put smiles in the faces of my friends, school mates and buddies all around the world.

I have also been able to upgrade my standard of living, i have been able to purchase a new laptop, a new mobile phone and i also take care of my own bills.

However helping other people make progress on steemit trough my community has been the best way steemit has affected my life.
