Date palm is a distinguishing feature of our small and rustic village, Karbani Khail. In comparison to other nearby villages like Zangi Khail, Mandara Khail, Masha Mansoor, Jhang Khail, Abdul Khail, and Isk Khail, we have a considerable number of date palm trees in our village. This is indeed a great blessing from Allah. Every year, we, along with many friends and relatives, enjoy presenting dates as gifts.
This year, enthusiasts say it's a historic season because every date palm tree is laden with ripe and delicious dates.
The date palm season occurs once a year and serves as a small business opportunity for our villagers, who sell them at reasonable prices. Many people buy them as gifts for their loved ones. However, due to heavy rainfall last year, three-quarters of the date crop were destroyed, and this year, there's a risk of more rainfall. Hence, prayers are being offered for a mild season and a prosperous date palm harvest. 🌴
